From humble beginnings mixing in his bedroom on his older brother’s equipment at the age of 14, DJ Franco has grown into a respected DJ and promoter. Inspired by his cousins, legendary DJ Matt “Jam” Lamont and the late Lawrence Lamontagne, along with his close friend, the late Clemy Riley, Franco developed a passion for music that has shaped a career spanning more than 20 years.
Known for his ability to read a crowd and seamlessly blend genres, Franco takes audiences on a musical journey through R&B, Soul, Rare Groove, Garage, Jungle, Reggae, Soca, House, Afrobeats, Zouk, and much more.
As the founder of Motion Sound, Franco has built a respected brand known for delivering quality music, unforgettable events, and bringing people together through music. His career has taken him across the globe, performing in Sardinia, Greece, Crete, Lanzarote, The Gambia, St Lucia, and beyond, as well as at some of the UK’s weekenders, festivals, carnivals, and major events. He has also successfully taken the Motion brand overseas, creating international events that combine world-class entertainment with authentic cultural experiences and bringing the Motion family together beyond the UK.
A familiar face at Notting Hill Carnival for Smokey Joe Roadshow and Love music Hate Racism for many years, Franco has also performed at numerous festivals, owned and presented on the online radio station Soulm8 FM, collaborated with some of the UK’s finest DJs and promoters and entertained at celebrity events, fashion shows, corporate functions for leading brands, television and film productions, while enjoying a successful club DJ career.
His reputation has been built on versatility, professionalism, consistency, and an unwavering passion for creating unforgettable experiences through music. Whether performing to intimate crowds or thousands of people, DJ Franco always delivers with style, energy, and authenticity.
Now, DJ Franco is taking the Motion family back to his roots in the beautiful island of St Lucia for another unforgettable week of music, culture, friendship.
